“I have been working as a volunteer port chaplain since 2015. I am supported in prayer by my wife Lydia and in meeting with seafarers by the Rev Elie Barakat. SCFS Montrose Port Mission is committed to ministering inclusively to all seafarers, glorifying the Lord in Jesus’s name.”

We are blessed with a small sailor’s cabin which, although unmanned when we are not there, is available 24/7 (WhatsApp: +44 7470 099072).

ICMA guidelines are respected in our interactions with seafarers as we follow the Holy Spirit’s leading to serve:

• Proclaiming the Gospel and providing free Christian literature in many languages.
• Discipling, encouraging and equipping believing seafarers to plant sea-churches on board.
• Offering practical help such as free Wi-Fi and transport for shopping.
• Helping seafarers prepare themselves and gift packages for their return home to their families.

The heart of our mission is:

“His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers”. (Malachi 4:6)
